Which problem in your company has nobody solved for years?

The hours never add up. Scrap keeps rising. Nobody knows which job actually pays. We spend a day looking at it, convert it into euros and solve it — with a program or without one.

You speak straight to Armen Hovsepyan. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Double entry: mail → Excel → invoicing program

Every enquiry is typed in by hand three times. The second and third entry add nothing — they cost time and introduce transfer errors.

Recommendation

One entry, one place. Enquiries go straight into the job list; the invoice follows from it. Effort: two days.

Sample page. This is what a finding looks like in the report.

Run it with your own figures.

One task that somebody types in twice by hand. Set it to what it looks like in your company. Only once an annoyance has a figure attached is it worth discussing what removing it may cost.

Three companies, three problems

What we saw, what we did, what has been different since.

We name no euro figures from these companies. Those numbers belong to them, not to us. What adds up in your company we work out on the first day with your own figures — like the calculator above, only with your processes.

Landscaping and garden construction

The hours never added up

Four weeks lateron the same day

Before

The crews drive straight to the site in the morning and home in the evening. Times were written on scraps of paper, and at the end of the month somebody typed them all up. Sometimes too many, sometimes too few — and nobody could say how long a site had really taken.

Done

An app everybody has on their own phone: tap on arrival, tap when leaving. With place and time, correctable afterwards, but every correction stays visible.

Since

The paper is gone. The owner sees on the same day who was on which site and for how long.

Metalworking company

Too much scrap, and nobody knew why

No softwarean instruction session

Before

The scrap container was full every month, and nobody could say where the material came from. There was no shortage of theories.

Done

We recorded who works on what and where the scrap arises. After the analysis it was no longer a mystery: it came down to a few workstations where new people had never been properly instructed.

Since

In the end the solution was not software but an instruction session. The scrap went down.

Newly founded company

Everything at once, and nothing first

From zeroto steady enquiries

Before

The company started with nothing: no website, no Google listing, no order in which to tackle any of it.

Done

We wrote the strategy and set everything up — website, Google listing, the routes along which enquiries come in.

Since

The company is working. The enquiries arrive through the channels we built.

  1. We watch

One day in the company is usually enough. From the order to the invoice: who does what, where it sits and waits, who spends how long searching. We measure with a clock instead of by feel. Your people carry on working as usual.

  2. You get it in writing

Every finding with minutes, quantity and your hourly rate — so you can see what the problem costs per year. Only that figure decides whether a solution is worth it at all.

  3. We solve it

Sometimes it is a program you cannot buy that way — then we build it. Sometimes a different order of work, an instruction session or a different person in charge is enough. We tell you beforehand which is cheaper and which lasts longer.

  4. We measure again

A few weeks later we take the same figures once more: the same clock, the same place, the same arithmetic. Next to them stands the figure from the report. If less comes out than expected, we tell you why — habit, or an assumption that was wrong. Better known than guessed.

Where you stand right now

You are starting out

The company is new or still on paper.

You know what you can do — but not in which order a company is built. We write the strategy: what to start with, what can wait, where the first customers come from.

You are running

The company works, but something jams.

Times and orders are recorded twice. Nobody knows which job brings money in. Enquiries fade away because nobody feels responsible. Everything hangs on one person, and if they fall ill the place stops.

You are steering

The company is big enough that figures are missing.

Scrap is rising in production and nobody finds the cause. Planning predicts a capacity that never arrives. Everybody carries the risks in their head, but nowhere does it say what happens if they occur.

Some problems are only visible to somebody who is not in the company every day. Anyone who has been there for years takes the detour for the road — that is not a reproach, that is habit.

What we actually do

Five kinds of work, on their own or together.

Digitalisation
What today sits on paper, in Excel lists and in people's heads runs in one system afterwards: one entry instead of three, one place for the order data instead of four folders. We start with whatever eats the most time — not with whatever sounds the most modern. What it covers →
Software you cannot buy off the shelf
When no standard software fits your process, we write it: time recording for crews on changing sites, an analysis that shows where the scrap arises, a tool for exactly the task you do by hand ten times a day. No subscription, no lock-in to a vendor. How a program is built →
AI integration
Language models really do take a few jobs off your hands: the draft of an email, the search through your own archive, the report dictated on site instead of typed. We look for the places where that pays, build a pilot and measure it. If there is no saving at the end, we say so. Where it pays →
Strategy
For the company that is just starting and for the one that grew faster than its processes: what to start with, what can wait, where the next customers come from. That includes the visible part — website, Google listing, the routes along which enquiries come in. The methods behind it →
Analysis and figures
Which job pays and which one loses money. Where the scrap comes from. What happens if the one person who knows everything is away. We take the figures out of the company and put them next to your plan. What we calculate →

Where we are the right people

From the founder without a first customer to the company with several hundred employees. Trades, metalworking, mechanical engineering, production, construction, retail, services. In Kreis Olpe, Siegen-Wittgenstein and everything we can reach in 45 minutes. Further afield by arrangement, and remotely across Germany.

Where we are not

We do not sell software and take no money from any vendor. What we recommend, we recommend because it fits. We do not run server emergency support or repairs. If an off-the-shelf program solves your problem, we tell you so — and nothing more.

Armen Hovsepyan

Who is behind it

Armen Hovsepyan is a certified business informatics specialist, examined by the IHK in Cologne. The examination covered strategic processes, the advisory conversation and a case study — precisely the work we do inside your company. The qualification sits at level 7 of the German and European Qualifications Framework, the same level as a master's degree.

We are based in Finnentrop. The person who comes to you is the one you spoke to on the phone — and they stay your contact until the matter is settled. We put on work clothes when that is what it takes, and we ask the questions nobody else in the company asks: why do you do it this way? Since when? What happens when your colleague is off sick?

On longer projects we write things down as we go: what was set up, why, and with which accounts. You may use those documents inside your company without restriction and pass them to your tax adviser, your bank or your own people. If we built software for you, it becomes yours in full once it is paid for — source code included. You stay able to work, even if we drop out tomorrow.

Call or write. The first conversation costs nothing.

Ten minutes are enough for both sides to know whether a meeting is worth it. Tell us what is jamming. If we are the wrong people for it, we will say so — and usually we know who the right ones are.

Whatever costs money after that is written down beforehand in a quote: either a fixed price or an hourly rate, both in black and white. Costs arise only once you accept that quote. The conversation, and our read on what your problem actually is, are free.
